Przestrzeń jest umownym obszarem wypełnionym treściami lub wartościami. Już antyczni filozofowie mówili o zasadzie przestrzenności, która jest fundamentalna i pierwotna względem kosmosu. Jest to zdroworozsądkowo zgodne z powszechną intuicją mówiącą o pierwotności przestrzeni i jej niezależnością od wszelkich procesów w niej zachodzących. Równocześnie przestrzeń w rozumieniu starożytnych jest substancją, bytem równorzędnym innym bytom. O ile zatem przyjąć to pojęcie jako pierwotne i neutralne, to pojęcie pustki ma inne konotacje. Jest dla mnie pojęciem humanistycznym, może mieć pejoratywne znaczenie, oscylujące wokół braku, deficytu sensu. Przy pomocy techniki anaglifowej umożliwiającej trójwymiarowe widzenie fotografii, odwracając jednocześnie obrazy dla lewego i prawego oka, tworzę przestrzenny, lecz zaburzony obraz. Uwaga skupia się głównie na próbie osadzenia przedmiotu zdjęcia w kontekście przestrzennym. Obecnie fizycy doliczyli się 26 wymiarów. Wielowymiarowość była tematem rozważań teoretycznych i działań artystycznych Jerzego Olka. Jemu dedykuję przestrzeń mojej wystawy.
Der Raum ist ein konventioneller Bereich, der mit Inhalten oder Werten gefüllt ist. Schon die antiken Philosophen sprachen davon, dass das Prinzip der Räumlichkeit grundlegend und primär für den Kosmos ist. Dies stimmt mit dem gesunden Menschenverstand überein, der intuitiv besagt, dass der Raum ursprünglich und unabhängig von jedem Prozess in ihm ist. Gleichzeitig ist der Raum nach dem Verständnis der Antike eine Substanz, eine Entität, die anderen Entitäten gleichwertig ist. Insofern man dieses Konzept als ursprünglich und neutral akzeptiert, hat das Konzept der Leere eine andere Bedeutung. Für mich ist es ein humanistisches Konzept und kann eine pejorative Bedeutung haben, die um einen Mangel, ein Bedeutungsdefizit oszilliert. Mithilfe der Anaglyphentechnik, die eine dreidimensionale Sicht auf das Foto ermöglicht, indem ich die Bilder für das linke und das rechte Auge gleichzeitig umkehre, schaffe ich ein räumliches, aber gestörtes Bild. Die Aufmerksamkeit konzentriert sich vor allem auf den Versuch, den in der Fotografie abgebildeten Gegenstand in einen räumlichen Kontext zu stellen. Gegenwärtig haben die Physiker 26 Dimensionen gezählt. Die Mehrdimensionalität war Gegenstand der theoretischen Überlegungen und der künstlerischen Aktivitäten von Jerzy Olek. Ihm widme ich den Raum meiner Ausstellung.
Space is a conventional area filled with contents or values. Already ancient philosophers spoke of the principle of spatiality, which is fundamental and primary to the cosmos. This is commonsensically consistent with the popular intuition that space is primordial and independent of any processes happening within it. At the same time, space, in the understanding of the ancients, is a substance, an entity equivalent to other entities. Thus, insofar as one accepts this notion as primary and neutral, the notion of emptiness gains a different connotation. For me, it is a humanistic concept and it can have a pejorative meaning, oscillating around a certain lack, a deficit of meaning. Using the anaglyph technique that allows a three-dimensional vision of photographs, and reversing the images for the left and right eye, I create a spatially disturbed image. The viewer’s attention is mainly focused on an attempt to place the subject of the photograph in a spatial context. Currently, physicists have discovered 26 dimensions. Multidimensionality has been the subject of Jerzy Olek’s theoretical and artistic activity. To him I dedicate the space of my exhibition.
