Entropia to pojęcie, które swoje zastosowanie odnalazło w różnych dyscyplinach nauki, odnosząc się przede wszystkim do dynamicznie narastających procesów powodujących dezintegrację. Słowo to, można by powiedzieć, określa miarę chaosu. W sztuce termin ten odnosi się zarówno do aspektów formalnych, jak i istoty wypowiedzi artystycznej w ogóle, stając się synonimem szeroko pojętego kryzysu. Stan przesilenia dotkliwie odciska się na sztuce współczesnej i naszej teraźniejszości. Jego bezpośrednim przejawem jest choćby relatywizm skutkujący brakiem pewności, zagubieniem. Ostatnie lata, naznaczone m.in. pandemią, wojną, zmianami klimatycznymi, znajdują swój wyraz w najnowszych działaniach studentów i kadry Wydziału Sztuki UJK w Kielcach, osób przede wszystkim związanych z pracownią intermediów dr. Macieja Zdanowicza. Wielość ujęć nurtujących problemów, zastosowanie różnorodnych form wypowiedzi artystycznej – zarówno statycznych, jak i dynamicznych, płaskich i przestrzennych – budują rozproszony obraz współczesności, w którym zapisany został specyficzny stan niepokoju, niepewności. Tym samym tytułowa entropia staje się metaforą kondycji psychofizycznej człowieka oraz formy prezentacji ekspozycji. Maciej Zdanowicz
Entropie ist ein Begriff, der in verschiedenen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen Anwendung gefunden hat und sich vor allem auf dynamisch zunehmende Prozesse bezieht, die einen Zerfall verursachen. Man könnte sagen, dass das Wort ein Maß für das Chaos definiert. In der Kunst bezieht sich der Begriff sowohl auf die formalen Aspekte als auch auf das Wesen des künstlerischen Ausdrucks im Allgemeinen und wird zu einem Synonym für Krise im weitesten Sinne. Der Zustand der Krise hinterlässt einen bitteren Eindruck auf die zeitgenössische Kunst und auf unsere Gegenwart. Seine direkte Manifestation ist zum Beispiel der Relativismus, der zu Unsicherheit und Verwirrung führt. Die letzten Jahre, die u.a. von Pandemien, Krieg und Klimawandel geprägt waren, finden ihren Ausdruck in den jüngsten Aktivitäten der Studenten und Mitarbeiter der Kunstfakultät der Jagiellonen-Universität in Kielce, die vor allem mit dem Intermedia-Studio von Dr. Maciej Zdanowicz verbunden sind. Die Vielfalt der Herangehensweisen an die drängenden Probleme, die Verwendung verschiedener künstlerischer Ausdrucksformen – sowohl statisch als auch dynamisch, flächig und räumlich – ergibt ein krisenhaftes Bild der Gegenwart, in dem ein spezifischer Zustand der Angst und Unsicherheit festgehalten wurde. So wird der Titel Entropie zu einer Metapher für den psychophysischen Zustand des Menschen und die Form der Präsentation der Ausstellung. Maciej Zdanowicz
Entropy is a concept that has found its application in various fields of science, referring primarily to dynamically increasing processes that cause disintegration. The word, one could say, defines a measure of chaos. In art, the term refers to both the formal aspects and the essence of artistic expression in general, becoming a synonym for crisis in the broadest sense. The state of dispersion makes a bitter impression on contemporary art and on our present day. One of its direct manifestation is relativism resulting in uncertainty and confusion. The last years, marked by, among other things, pandemics, war and climate change, find their expression in the most recent activities of the students and staff of the Faculty of Art at UJK in Kielce, especially those who are associated with the intermedia workshop of Dr. Maciej Zdanowicz. The multiplicity of approaches to the hottest issues, the use of various forms of artistic expression–both static and dynamic, flat and spatial–build up a dispersed image of contemporary times, with its specific state of anxiety and uncertainty. Thus, the eponymic entropy becomes a metaphor for the human psycho-physical condition and the form of presentation of the exhibition. Maciej Zdanowicz
